When you start throwing some serious power at the Gen V LT1, addressing the weak link in the rotating assembly is a must. The OEM piston and ring land design is unique, intended for naturally aspirated duty and is subject to failure under even minimal detonation. BTR and Diamond Pistons got together to solve that with this piston package that addresses those shortcomings as well as adding a slight bump in compression.
